Ryan Seacrest Is

Continuing with the men of American Idol (Randy's status anyone?), next up is the host of the show, Ryan Seacrest. Yes this guy gets a lot of heat for being the poster boy for metrosexuality but he of the highlighted hair and mystic tan seems to be moving away from his roots (no pun intended) and as the picture above will attest, Ryan with darker hair and skin that isn't day-glo orange is actually quite a handsome guy.

Ryan's place here on the Cut or Uncut Blog (I'm a little embarrassed to admit) actually came about by a little act of deception on my part. This happened a few years back when, at the time, Ryan was the afternoon DJ on radio station Star 98.7 here in LA. He mostly played music but between music breaks, he and his co-host Lisa G would talk about things like relationships, celebrities, pop culture, etc. Well one day, while listening to his show, I decided that I REALLY wanted to know if Ryan was cut or uncut (yes, to be fair, I wonder that about almost everybody!) so I tried to think of a way to make that happen. After running through a few options in my head (most of which were probably illegal) I decided to go the easy route and just ask. So I emailed him at the station under the premise that I was a girl who had been talking to my girlfriends, the subject of circumcision came up and we were wondering if Ryan was circumcised or not. Pretty thin basis for a question I know and of course I never thought I'd get a response to my email from him (which I did!) let alone that I'd hear him talking about it on the air the next day (which he did!).

I have to admit that I felt a little guilty for deceiving him but at the same time it was kind of exciting to hear him talk about circumcision, especially knowing that I had prompted the discussion which ultimately led to him finding his way here onto the Cut or Uncut Blog. Let me just say that after his status confirmation, watching American Idol has become a much more enjoyable television experience for me.

I still have the audio of the discussion that took place but as a total non techie, all I can offer is the transcript of it. It's a bit long and it begins just after he's read my email on the air:

Ryan Seacrest: Is this an issue with women...like this whole circ'd and uncirc'd?
Lisa G: I...(chuckle)
Ryan Seacrest: Like do you...do you...are you with a guy, the candles are right, the scent is perfect, he's got just the perfect chest hair and everything and you go down there and you're like, 'Oh my God, uncirc'd'
Lisa G: I can't get the show out of my head...umm, let's see...you know, I don't know that I really feel...
Ryan Seacrest: Do you know what an uncirc'd is?
Lisa G: I do. I don't know that I feel okay to talk about this on the radio...
Ryan Seacrest: Oh, I understand...but have you ever been with one?
Lisa G: (chuckle)
Ryan Seacrest: ...and is there...is there a big...
Lisa G: I have not. It hasn't been an issue in my life yet.
Ryan Seacrest: Is it good or bad or indifferent or doesn't it really matter?
Lisa G: I think technically it shouldn't matter but I haven't been there before. I haven't knocked on that...covered wagon before.
Ryan Seacrest: (outburst of laughter) Well Lisa, if you're going to knock on it when you get it, I think you're doing the wrong thing anyway.
Lisa G: But I think and I've heard...
Ryan Seacrest: Here it is...let me just knock for a second.
Lisa G: (laughing) Let's go behind the wagon. Uh... I think for men...I've heard stories about men who go ahead and do that and they take care of it and they get in a loving relationship th...OH actually, you know what? This was an episode of Sex & the City where one of the girls got involved with a guy, he didn't have it done. They fell in love, she said it really bothered her, he got the operation done, it was sooo painful for weeks and then after he was healed, he was like 'WOO! I gotta go try out the world!'...
Ryan Seacrest: (chuckle)
Lisa G: ...and he...he left her.
Ryan Seacrest: Well, as far as my case is concerned.
Lisa G: Yeah?

Simon Cowell Is

Thanks largely in part to his brutal honesty, Simon Cowell is the judge on American Idol who everybody loves to hate. But hate him or love him, one can't deny that with his good looks, his sexy accent and that cocky attitude of his, Simon Cowell is for many, one of the sexiest men on television.

How Simon has come to appear here on the Cut or Uncut Blog is actually through an interview from the Howard Stern Show (as you will notice, a major source of information for the Blog). However, the information this time did not come directly from Simon himself (although he has been a guest on the Stern show many times). This time the revelation about Simon's circumcision status actually came from an interview with Simon's younger brother, Nicholas Cowell (pictured above right, with Simon).

In typical Howard Stern interviewing style, the exchange consisted of a lot of talk about women, sex & money which led to Howard inquiring about the brothers and their penis sizes (another frequent topic on the Stern show) What followed that line of questioning is what eventually led Simon (and Nicholas) to have their confirmed statuses posted here.

This is the relevant & revelatory portion of that interview:

Mark Philippoussis Is

Australian Mark Philippoussis is a 6'5, 225 lb. professional tennis player. At his height, he was ranked #8 in the world. Although serious bouts with knee injuries throughout his career have prevented the Aussie from winning any major Grand Slam titles, he is still considered one of the best and most popular players that tennis has to offer. And I'm sure the fact that he's handsome enough to have done a bit of modeling on the side, didn't' hurt his popularity either.

In 2007, though still playing tennis and hoping to make a big comeback at the time, Mark decided to use a bit of his fame and handsome looks to make a splash in the world of entertainment with the American reality series Age of Love, a dating show (i.e The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, etc...) which pitted younger women (Kittens) against older women (Cougars) all vying to earn Mark's love.

Which leads us to how Mark made his way onto the list here.

In an effort to promote the season finale of Age of Love, Mark made an appearance on the Howard Stern radio show (a priceless font of Cut or Uncut information). During the interview Howard asked the requisite sex related questions that ranged from when Mark lost his virginity to whether one of the older women had given him a handjob during a massage on the show. But as is often the case with Howard's line of questioning, rather randomly he asked the question that firmly places Mark on the Uncut side of the Cut or Uncut Blog.

Justin Timberlake Is

Justin Timberlake, the former teen idol in the group N'Sync, has fully left his boy band past behind and has emerged as a hugely popular solo artist. With his good looks, catchy tunes and hot dance moves, he certainly seems more than capable of filling the vacated shoes of that former King of Pop. Only this time around, when this one shakes his body on stage and thrusts his hips, it will be infinitely much more fun to watch. Bringing Sexy Back seems to be exactly what Justin Timberlake is doing. Now onto how he made it here onto the Cut or Uncut Blog.

I'll begin by saying that his addition to the Blog technically deserves a little star next to it, just to denote that Justin's circumcision status is not 100% definitive. Let me explain.

Like many of my entries on the Blog, Justin's status was obtained via his own admission during a radio interview. This time the interview took place in 2001 on Los Angeles radio station Power 106, while Justin was a guest on the Big Boy morning show. During the fairly long interview, Justin was asked quite a few, rather personal questions including one that questioned his circumcision status, which he answered. Now normally that would be a very straight forward & easily discernible question and answer confirmation of his status. However, the way the question was phrased when asked this time and the way he answered it, honestly does leave a little bit of room for interpretation, hence the probable need for the little star by his name. I personally think that he's saying that he is circumcised, which is why he's listed here as he is but I will leave it to you to make the decision on this one for yourself.

There were many questions being asked in a rapid fire fashion, here is the very short transcript of just the portion that would be of interest to us here:

Brad Pitt Is

Brad Pitt comes to the Cut or Uncut Blog via the nude paparazzi photos that appeared on the Internet a few years back. In the pictures, which appear to have been taken during a holiday with then girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow, the two of them can be seen on a balcony playfully romping about, completely in the nude. At the time, Brad Pitt was not happy with the photos being out there for public consumption and even had the issue of Playgirl Magazine containing the photos, pulled from the newsstand. His argument was that the photos were taken while he was on private property and that the photos had no journalistic merit whatsoever. I remember him saying during an interview with Diane Sawyer that the only headline that could accompany the pictures would be: "Brad Pitt Has a Penis and Here's Proof!"

And proof of that fact was indeed what the pictures proved.

The photos, though a bit grainy.not only gave us a memorable look at this handsome actor's incredibly beautiful body but they also (for those of us interested) answer the question, "Is Brad Pitt circumcised?". The answer being, a definitive YES.

Josh Duhamel Is

Josh Duhamel is the star and title character of the film, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton and he is currently one of the stars of the very successful Transformers movies. Though a big star now, Josh's original dream was to become a dentist. He earned a degree in Biology from the University of Minot but because of his only so-so grades, he decided to come to Los Angeles to try and pursue a career in show business. With his handsome face and fit body, Josh did quite a bit of work as a model before his big break came with a regular role as Leo du Pres on the soap opera All My Children.

It is during that stint as a male model that the confirmation of Josh's circumcision status has come to be known. In 2000, a book of photographs by Greg Gorman called As I See It was published. The book, an homage to the male body, included 3 nude photographs of Josh Duhamel. One of those 3 photographs is a full frontal nude shot of the young actor showing off a beautiful body and a beautiful circumcised penis.

Joe Rogan Is

The compact yet handsome actor/comedian Joe Rogan definitely has a sex appeal about him. Maybe it's the intensity of his voice or his stare combined with those muscles (check out those arms) that make him an unexpectedly sexy guy. I remember finding him really hot on the television sitcom, News Radio, the reality scare-fest, Fear Factor and as host of many UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) matches. In fact it was one of his other hosting gigs that brought Joe to the Cut or Uncut Blog.

Back in 2004, Joe Rogan (along with comedian Doug Stanhope) took over as hosts of Comedy Central's, The Man Show after original hosts, Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla left the show. The series only lasted one season with the new hosts at the helm but it was long enough to give us a segment that confirmed Joe Rogan's circumcision status.

For those who are not familiar with The Man Show, it was a comedy program that featured sketches and taped segments dealing with a variety of topics, always presented with the male perspective in mind. In other words, lots of half naked women, beer and sex jokes. However, this particular segment that gave us a confirmation on Joe's status had to do with religion. Introducing the segment, Joe tells us that since he is not a religious person, he felt like he should go out and shop for a religion that best suited him. In the segment he talks with representatives of Judaism, Hare Krishna, Christianity, Buddhism and Wicca.

Here is a portion of the transcript of his conversation with Rabbi Chaim Mentz from Chabad of Bel Air:

Rabbi Chaim Mentz: You wanna become Jewish then you gotta say to myself, 'You know, there's a part of me that says I gotta do a lot more'. We have 613 Commandments. Yeah, it's a lot.

Dane Cook Is

Very popular stand-up comedian and star of a few feature films, including Mr. Brooks and My Best Friend's Girl. Dane Cook's admission to being uncut came during an appearance on the syndicated radio show, Loveline. I have been a listener of Loveline since it's inception here in Los Angeles back in the 80's and have found the program to be an indispensable source for gathering information on the Cut or Uncut status of a variety of celebrities.

Dane Cook's appearance was no exception.

For those not familiar with the format of Loveline, it is a two hour, four nights a week program which consists of phone callers asking a variety of questions, dealing mostly with the issues of love, sex, addiction, etc. The show is hosted currently by Ted Stryker, a radio DJ and Dr. Drew Pinsky, a medical doctor. Each night, there is usually a celebrity guest of some sort who gets to promote their product while helping the callers with their dilemmas. Dane was on Loveline promoting the premiere of his Tourgasm documentary on HBO when a male caller called in to ask about getting circumcised. Here is the transcript of what ensued:

Doctor Drew: But now he can get a circumcision if he wants one. Are you circumcised?
Dane Cook: Ah...No.
Doctor Drew: Have you ever had any problems? I mean there are problems that can happen with that, right?
Dane Cook: No, I've never had any problems at all.

Christopher Meloni Is

Star of NBC's police drama Law & Order SVU, Christopher Meloni is an actor who never shies away from taking on challenging roles. One of which placed him definitively onto the Cut side of the Cut or Uncut Blog. I'm of course referring to his role as Chris Keller on the HBO prison drama series, Oz. On Oz, Christopher's bisexual character had an on again/off again romance with co-star Lee Tergesen's, Tobias Beecher. The role called for many intimate scenes between the two actors and their fiery chemistry was one of the reasons the show became a hit with gay men all around the world. Though beset on all sides by violence, manipulation and horrible circumstances, the overall chemistry of the 2 actors was unmistakable. Of course the many full frontal nude scenes by most of the actors on the show didn't hurt the shows popularity with the horny gay audiences either. Myself included. I could probably do a themed Cut or Uncut Blog entry just on the men of Oz and I probably will at some point but today I'll keep my focus squarely on Chris. As to the evidence that Mr. Meloni is indeed circumcised, I could list a number of full frontal nude scenes he did on Oz, there were many.

Needless to say, there is little doubt on which side of the Cut or Uncut fence Christopher Meloni lives. I have to say, as a fan, I am completely grateful for the many views of this sexy actor in the buff (he looks fantastic naked) but I am equally appreciative of the boundary pushing roles he has taken on and I applaud his comfort with the gay community in making him a sex symbol for doing just that. Let's hope he's helped pave the way for actors in the future to take on more controversial and daring roles, requiring them to shed their inhibitions along the way. Of course, if they want to shed their pants along the way too, I won't be complaining one bit.

Jude Law Is

Jude Law is a slight but very handsome English actor who has made memorable turns in films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley and A.I. He comes to the Cut or Uncut Blog via the paparazzi. The photograph of Jude Law in the nude was apparently taken during his much talked about break up with girlfriend, actress Sienna Miller. In the picture, Jude, who was spending some time with his mother in France was caught on what looks like a balcony or a patio, changing either into or out of his swimsuit. At the time the photo began to circulate on the Internet, many people on many message boards spoke about the size of Jude's penis; many in reference to it's small size. If I could just be a little editorial here, as a guy who has seen maybe more than his share of penises (God, I hope my mother isn't reading this!), there is absolutely nothing small about Jude's penis. Along with a really nice body he's packing a very nicely sized/shaped penis. But of course everyone is entilted to their own opinion. What I love so much about the shot, aside from a great view of his unshaven pubic hair, is that his circumcision status is not in question at all. Some uncut men wear their foreskins pulled back thus making a determination about their status a little trickier to discern. This photograph however, shows clearly every detail of his uncircumcised penis with it's not very long foreskin covering only a little more than half of his glans. It is a beautiful sight to see. Now when I see him on film, television or in print, I can't help but find myself thinking not only about how cute he is but of what a lovely uncut penis he's carrying around with him.

George Clooney Is

George Clooney is an internationally recognized actor and a bona fide throw back to the handsome, suave & debonair leading men of Hollywood days gone by. He smolders on the big screen with those big brown eyes and flecks of grey strewn about his hair. From his days on television (The Facts of Life, Roseanne, ER, etc..) to his big screen work both in front of and behind the camera, he is truly a renaissance man for the ages. There is very little that can be said about the nephew of the late Rosemary Clooney that hasn't already been said, for he is a movie star through & through.

But then again, perhaps I've spoken too soon.

I'm fairly certain there is ONE particular bit of information that has never been said about Mr. Clooney that may be of interest to us here. Thankfully the information that lands Mr. Clooney on our list comes directly from the man himself.

George Clooney made a surprise appearance on the ever informative Howard Stern Show about 10 years ago. He was charming and funny, as expected, and seemed unfazed by the barrage of questions from Howard with topics ranging from his choice of acting roles to his many sexual conquests. George took the questions in stride and seemed to be having a really good time. Even the one question we at this blog would find most interesting didn't seem to throw him one bit. As usual Howard thew the question out there rather randomly and thankfully for us, George answers it.

Luke Wilson Is...

The star of such films as Legally Blonde, The Royal Tenenbaums and Old School and brother to fellow actors, Owen and Andrew Wilson, admitted to being cut during a recent guest appearance on the Howard Stern radio show.

He was there, along with film director/producer Ivan Reitman, to promote their film My Super Ex-Girlfriend. The interview was going along smoothly, with Howard curious about Luke's love life and past sexual conquests when they were interrupted by another guest that was in the studio, Evil David Letterman, a semi regular character on the Howard Stern show who does a spot on vocal impression of late night talk show host, David Letterman. The Evil comes from the usually inappropriate questions he is prompted to pose to various guests on the show. The question Evil David Letterman asks of Luke on this particular occasion is what confirms Luke's circumcision status on my list.

It's probably safe to assume that brothers Owen & Andrew are cut too. What do you think?
